Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in Roberto Martinez’s Portugal squad for the latest round of international fixtures in Euro 2024 qualifying.
The Al Nassr forward has scored 36 goals in his 42 appearances in Saudi Arabia since he made the move east almost a year ago, after his acrimonious exit from Manchester United.
Despite some concerns about the league’s quality of football, Martinez has included Ronaldo in every Portugal squad this year, and the striker has so far repaid that faith from his national team boss.
The Sporting News takes a look at Ronaldo’s availability for Thursday’s match.

The forward has scored four goals in his previous two European qualifying matches for Portugal, with braces against both Slovakia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
So far in the European qualifiers for Germany 2024, Ronaldo has only missed one match. That was Portugal’s 9-0 win against Luxembourg in September, which he was unavailable for due to suspension, having picked up two yellow cards.
Ronaldo has once again been included in Portugal’s squad for these matches, which would suggest he is in line to start against Liechtenstein.
The last time he faced the country sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria was back in March when he yet again, scored a brace.
