LIVE: F1 qualifying from Las Vegas

It hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing so far at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The opening day of practice was marred by a broken manhole, which caused significant damage to Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari and ultimately saw FP1 abandoned.

FP2 then eventually took place at 2:30 a.m. local time with fans unable to watch at the track due to “logistical considerations”.

Teams, drivers and fans alike will now be hoping for an incident-free evening as we build to the penultimate race of 2023.

The Sporting News is following qualifying live, providing updates from Q1, Q2 and Q3 below.
