We’re but one race away from Cup Series glory. And with the stakes as high as they’ve ever been, expect the unexpected at Martinsville.
Ross Chastain proved that miracles can happen last year, somehow overcoming Denny Hamlin’s late edge to snatch the final ticket in the Championship 4. But he wasn’t the only one.
Joe Gibbs Racing star Christopher Bell accomplished the same thing moments earlier, snagging a second straight walk-off win to give himself a chance at a title.
Bell won’t have to resort to the dramatic this time around; his place in Phoenix is secure after he conquered all at Miami-Homestead last week. But Bell and Chastain’s success last year does offer hope for those still yearning for that golden token.
